The design of the banner depicted at the top of the page arose out of a retreat sponsored by the Presbytery of Utica’s Committee for the Equipping and Empowerment of Congregations. The image was an answer to the question, “Where do our souls find rest and renewal?” As a group, the consensus was to depict mountains and water. Led by artist Amy Bartel, the banner was a stitching together of individual expressions, a piece demonstrating the workshop’s idea of communal art in worship.

New Worshiping Communities Grant Opportunities

As of January 1, 2015 the Office of Mission Program Grants will offer four grants that support 1001 New Worshiping Communities. Attached are basic eligibility and submission information.
